And a dumpster juice heavyweight with a 36-0-0 (35) record (or whatever it is), a major belt and who looks like he might be knocked out on those skinny ankles any second IS must see TV. How can that not be top of your heavyweight list, excitement-wise? Or maybe you're missing prime Wlad holding and clinching a tunny lil' 5'10" scrub for eleven rounds before deciding to finally throw a right hand?

I love heavyweight at the moment. It's the mirror opposite of the technically able but dull-as-ditchwater Klitschko era (and I like the Klits.) Wilder, Joshua and Parker are all vulnerable as hell, and it finally feels like a fun division. To hell with the quality. I can watch Terrence Crawford pugilistically son any number of super-lightweights or Lomachenko play Neo to a bunch of 130lb Agent Smiths if I want p4p skills on show. That ain't what heavyweight is about.

If I wanted to watch unskilled and uncoordinated fighters, I'd go watch women's boxing or women's MMA. I expect a certain amount of skill when I watch.

Wilder sucks.

Woman and shitty MMA fighters don't have 36-0-0 (35) records or the WBC Heavyweight Title.

Watching a hyper string bean with retard-power and the calf muscles of a paraplegic Bambi defending the greatest prize in boxing in a guaranteed KO fight is my type of fun.

But then again I cream myself typing 'Emmanuel Augustus' into the Boxrec search engine and seeing all those lovely L's so whadda I know?

Which harkens back to what I said before - the heavyweight division is shit now. A guy who made his amateur debut the day he made his professional debut (Conor McGregor) had infinitely better technique than the heavyweight champion of the world. At least he could throw a straight jab without falling all over himself.

It may be fun the way a bar fight is fun, but at the end of the day it is a bit embarrassing that the richest prize in boxing is held by a guy who literally fights like a drunken bar room brawler with boxing gloves.

Wilder wouldn't even dream of having half the skill Emmanuel Augustus does, and he got shot in the head.

I agree with everything you've just typed.

And I still can't wait to see Wilder in action next.

Wilder's windmill punches and anorexic lower body STILL KOs every other HW titlist on the landscape.

And now...because of this asinine Wilder fuckery, I’m rooting for Ortiz.

No question. He’s old and not so good.

But I’ll still root for him because he doesn’t fight like a coked up cheerleader.
