We didn't. T-Bear had the audacity to have family vacation time going on. But we were definitely discussing the fight in real time.
Going to have the podcast back up and running here shortly. Funding issue. Sorry guys. But it'll be back soon. Give me a week or so. Jon, we will DEFINITELY do some call-in stuff. Bank it. I'll be in touch shortly. Also looking into something really special here soon, too. Possibly doing a show where we cover a local event and call the action radio-style. I'm an experienced radio PxP guy and boxing, for decades, existed on a live basis only on radio, living in the imagination of the listeners until the film or the news reels hit the local theaters weeks later. So, what we may do is have the event, and then post video of the show later for a watch-along. There's also the possibility, down the road, for matching the audio with the video on a stream or DVD and doing that. Just for kicks. Having people calling real fights, not beholden to promoters or networks or Al Haymon, should be fun, right? And let's face it... fights at local shows tend to be more entertaining than half of the canned garbage that shows up on the networks. |

I got the opportunity to talk Boxing with the Major Sports Station of my city. THIS would be a dream job for me. Even if its strictly boxing and not sports in general.
