Boxing Nicknames
Was thinking about how Inoue had the most appropriate nickname in boxing and it cascaded into a survey.
NICKNAME MOST FITTING OF THE FIGHTER TODAY Inoue BEST/FAVORITE NICKNAME IN BOXING (ANY ERA) Always been a fan of "The Body Snatcher". BEFORE AND AFTER NICKNAMES Thinking of "Pretty Boy Floyd" to "Money Mayweather", "Motor City Cobra" to "Hitman", "The Executioner" to "The Alien". All the first nicknames of the above were better IMO. Thoughts? All heart. That's what most little guys are. But that counts for a lot. In the gym or the ring all you gotta do is get up one more time than the other guy thinks you can. - Gabrielle Calvocoressi http://www.wanderingpugilist.com |

RE: Boxing Nicknames
"Lights Out" was always a favorite.
"Boom Boom" Mancini always rolled off the tongue nicely. "Golden Boy" always fascinated me as a young fan. And shout out Guys whos names were replaced like 'Butterbean', 'Macho' Camacho and 'Prince' Naseem. |
