Maxy, I don't disagree with anything you've said here. I don't think it would be unconstitutional to really ratchet up the background checks and investigative procedures for people who want to buy guns but have been put on a no-fly list or investigated by the FBI for possible links to terrorism. I mean, I'm the biggest 2nd amendment rights person on this board, but we've got to have some common fucking sense about this shit. There's got to be a happy medium between law abiding citizens being able to get guns, and setting up a more strenuous system to vet people like Mateen, who have raised red flags in their past. |
