China won't do shit, that's number one.

Number two, the North doesn't want an armed conflict, because it will be the end of the regime. Kim Jong Un is a puppet of the military; he has no real power. He's a figure head the military uses to maintain their hold over the ordinary citizenry.

The military routinely ratchets shit up to whip their fucktard populace into a frenzy, hoping to solidfy support for the regime and quell discontent. This is a staple of communist rule. The Chinese have been doing it for years on a daily basis (mostly internally, though they do occassionally turn it outwards, ala Taiwan, Tibet, their petty little territorial disputes, etc...)

My biggest, fondest, and dearest hope is that some turd in North Korea gets trigger happy and pops one off (even though the order has already been sent down from the top that North Korean soldiers are absolutely forbidden from firing the first shot).

I'd even settle for an "accident", as long as it set things off. The North needs to be wiped off the face of the earth. They will pursue nuclear weapons until they get them, and nothing is ever gonna change that. We might as well fuck them up good and proper while the window of opportunity exists. The match-up is in our favor now. Why wait?
