RE: Saul Alvarez back at HBO.
Is pac contractually bound to HBO. I know he was a free agent in that regard.

RE: Saul Alvarez back at HBO.
I'm telling you right now as a fan of boxing I would rather watch Canelo fight Cotto than Floyd fight Pac. The former is just going to a better fight period. And yes the Latin fans would support that fight over Floyd and Pac if they where to go head to head no doubt about it.

Boxing needs Pac-Floyd to happen just so people can move on from it.

The proof is in the pudding. If both fights come off next year, I will make a lifetime sig bet with you that Floyd vs Pac does bigger numbers. |

RE: Saul Alvarez back at HBO.
If someone wants to argue that 'boxing' fans may enjoy Cotto vs Canelo more than Manny vs Pac, that's cool I can see that. If that fight will be more interesting to the Latino fanbase, yeah maybe.
But from a numbers point of view, Mayweather vs Pacquiao trumps that fight all together, and comfortably. |

RE: Saul Alvarez back at HBO.
It looks like that fight will remain a pipe dream as Floyd is demading 2/3 of the purse.

RE: Saul Alvarez back at HBO.
Cotto-Alvarez is a better fight from an aesthetic point of view, no doubt, but if it went head to head with Pac-Money, there's no contest for which one I'd tune in to. And sorry to say it's not Canelo.

RE: Saul Alvarez back at HBO.
HBO can run with the date and make Showtime concede it or they can just give let Showtime keep it for Floyd because he might think about fighting Pac. That's how they'd play into Showtime's hands, letting Floyd keep the biggest ppv date for nothing. Why wouldn't HBO want to move forward with having big ppvs again? Pac isn't doing them.

RE: Saul Alvarez back at HBO.
Oscar out saying that Canelo is happy with the terms for a 2 May fight, so if Cotto is on board, they may get the date.
