No one's favorite fringe fighter is Adrien Broner?

Interesting.

The only ones on here delusional enough to have Broner as a favorite would not call him a "fringe fighter".

All heart. That's what most little guys are.
But that counts for a lot. In the gym or
the ring all you gotta do is get up
one more time than the other guy thinks you can.

RE: Favorite Fringe Fighters
Jason Litzau for me....dude was super talented, but loved to slug it out in there. He had that war on FNF with Nolasco that was a great fight. He hasn't fought for three years, so not sure if he's coming back or not.

Another local fringe contender that I grew to like was Matt Vanda. I hated him when he came up, since he was protected and received so many lucky decisions (Homer Gibbons, Troy Lowry, etc....). However, after he lost that "0", he was always willing to take on anyone locally and nationally. In the past 10 years he fought a who's who of guys, and held his own. He damn near KO'd Chavez Jr. (and arguably still won the fight) back in 2008, gave John Duddy a tough fight, fought Peter Manfredo, and beat Yori Boy Campas 10 years ago. He made for really exciting local fights Andy Kolle, Kenny Kost, and Caleb Truax, often times giving up a size advantage. He also took his beating like a man against Anthony Bonsante. He's the definition of a fringe level guy that loved to fight, brought his best, and could give guys trouble.

Every year that dude seemed to make the shortlist of FNF KO of the year. I loved that dude and STILL the best nickname in boxing.

Mitch "Hold My Beer" Hicks is the best nickname in boxing.

Big time! It almost feels unfair to say that about Katsidis considering he was in the mix with a very deep and talented era.

I used to like watching Ricardo Vargas on FNF's in the mid 00's. He was always good fun to watch.
