Refs have stopped enforcing that and just taken the "touch 'em if you want to" approach.

It makes the PPV viewer have less buyers remorse.

In the same way Jesus died for all of our future sins, Floyd and Pac did enough touching gloves in one fight to cover all future touching of gloves ever needed. Refs no longer need to enforce it as all future fighters are absolved from it courtesy of MayPac.
