Hmmmmm, not bad but if we are gonna go there, why not Kirkland?

I wonder how he'd match up with Sergio Martinez?

He'd get stopped in 9 rounds!

Kirkland is out for a while. I'd rather see Lara or Angulo get a shot at Cotto. More Lara cause Angulo hasn't done anything notable as of late.

Idk.. Cotto has had better opposition and has turned into quite the boxer.. I think he makes it thru 12.

He should be filling the spot with RedOnTheHead.

I woulda said Alvarez but that wouldnt be for a good while now that Ortiz has got that set up for him already. Mayweather-Cotto II doesn't seem very likely. Lara? Maybe, but I don't see that as a high possibility. Kirkland is meant to be out for a bit. That leaves Trout or Angulo.

I like the idea thrown here already about a Trout fight setting up a fight for an Alvarez fight. I also think that might be the most likely path Cotto may take.

Cotto could do with a easier fight or even a tune up fight (like Froch). He has had a very tough run with the best.

I would have liked Cotto to take on lower calibered fighter in Kirkland that's a very winnable, notable & "exciting".

I haven't seen Trout, so don't know how good he is, but haven't heard the best stuff either from him. I think Cotto-Trout could be good, to clear up any bullshit with belts & could be winnable.
