6 now. In the context, Brazil, pre tournament favourites and playing at home, we are witnessing the worst beating handed out in world cup history.

All heart. That's what most little guys are. But that counts for a lot. In the gym or the ring all you gotta do is get up one more time than the other guy thinks you can. - Gabrielle Calvocoressi http://www.wanderingpugilist.com |

RE: World Cup 2014 - Brazil
Wow. This German team threatened to be this destructive all tournament. They were creating chance after chance, but they just weren't converting them like their normal clinical selves.
Then it all changes, against Brazil, in Brazil, in a World Cup semi-final! Brazil looked dangerous for the first several minutes of both halves, but the rest of the time they looked completely lost. Their defence was atrocious. Luiz and Dante were shocking together. Luiz had a complete shocker of a match. He was caught ball watching most of the time and their structure was all over the shop from top to bottom. They also missed a few sitters and the rest is history. Come on Argentina. I don't want it to be an all European final in South America! One last note, I can't believe the lack of depth in the Brazilian squad at the moment, although Willian should have started and Scolari didn't take a risk and reshape his squad, who were structured around Neymar from the get-go. I thought you had been harping on this whole time about the majority of Brazilians wanting their team to lose? Be careful what you wish for I guess! |
