Yeah! How much portion of the total revenue goes to Floyd is nuts. He can afford to pay $1.5M for a glove change when that same amount is much more than the fight purse of most fighters. Big Grin

Did you really think Maidana won their first meeting?

After watching the fight on three separate occasions I still think Maidana won and would more than happy to debate anybody here that has different opinion on the matter.

I think Maidana knew he could get some money out of it and didn't want to end his career. Fucking over GBP and Haymon would be the last thing he does.
Maidana could've just said "Sorry 'bout your luck, puta", and let Floyd be the one to throw all of GBP's promotion in the trash.

Your score is your score. It is however, not in line with the majority of others which I'm sure you're aware of at this point. Of 111 media scoring the fight ringside, their scores all averaged resulted in 115.1 Mayweather, 112.9 Maidana.

What did you score the fight? You said you watched it 3 times; did you score it the same each time?

I found your score card back in the Mayweather/Maidana thread. You had it 115-113 for Maidana with giving him the final round, which you said could have gone Mayweather's way which would result in a draw. You also stated that the 7th round could be scored 10-10, which would give Mayweather 1 more point, so even by your own scoring you could have scored it 115-114 Mayweather.

Looking through that thread there are probably 20 people that scored it 115-113 or 116-112 Mayweather, and it looks like you and Black scored it 115-113 Maidana.

Close fight regardless without question.

my man spreading the word.

this whole story right here speaks volumes about mayweather's genius. he mentally handicaps maidana by making him change his gloves by buying his ass. this in turn makes maidana think that he can't punch and diminishes his confidence during the fight. it also shows how mayweather can get people to do what the wants. damn.

I had Mayweather winning 4 rounds. On the telecast I scored it closer for Maidana. Ringside I could see it a draw. On the cards he got a gift.

Don't want to see it either. The first fight was close, but it was clear that Mayweather won it.

Plus Maidana won't be as strong this time, he doesn't have whatever Ariza puts into the water!

RE: Mayweather vs. Maidana 2
I gave the fight to Maidana 7-5.

By saying that I'm also not looking forward to it too much. Mayweather will be better prepared knowing what took place in the first and do everything possible to make it a safe fight. Holding, running, potshotting, keep as far the fuck away from Maidana.

I can't see Maidana fighting too much better if not, any better than the first. Marcos may also fall into the trap of coming into the rematch over confident, and not be able to put in the same kind of work into the fight.

Then again, if anyone deserves a shot at Mayweather it's Maidana and if anyone has a shot to pull the big upset then Maidana has shown he has the best shot.
