Ward doesn't even fight anymore. And he's never fought at 175 so he isn't the man AT 175 regardless of who he beat in another division. Your theory is flawed.

So if Kiltschko gets sick tomorrow and is in a hospital bed for 6 months and loses 70 pounds, gets out and takes a fight at 175 against Ward and collapses in the first round, Ward in your eyes is the man at heavyweight. LOL.

RE: Who is the man at Light Heavyweight?
No one at 175 can beat Ward, who's actually a lot bigger than some of the fighters at light heavy. It sucks that his career has been halted because he's the best fighter in the world, or second to Roman Gonzalez, who's fighting in a week and a half.

RE: Who is the man at Light Heavyweight?
Complete speculation as Ward has never fought at 175.

All Ward has done in the span of 2 years is fight one B-Level opponent so it's questionable how he'd currently perform against a light heavy at 175.

Stevenson is the man but I doubt he'd make it past 5 vs. Kovalev.

B-level opponent? He beat the Lineal Light Heavyweight Champion! Rodriguez was top-5 at 168, and he's arguably now top-5 at light heavyweight. Ward made him look like a B-level opponent.

RE: Who is the man at Light Heavyweight?
Rodriguez fought him at 168, not 175.

Yes, B-level. Until he beats someone that's A-level to me he's B-level. We've already debated this a month or so ago and I see no reason to beat a dead horse. His best win is against Grachev who's lost 4 out of his last 5 which makes him even worse than B-level. And, Rodriguez has one fight at light heavy so far against a guy that has no notable wins at light heavy which makes him B-level as well and hardly "arguably top 5."

Grachev beat an A-level fighter in Edrei. He's dropped off since, but that happens.

RE: Who is the man at Light Heavyweight?
Edrei had an A-level record fighting in Germany forever, but arguable if the near 40 year old Edrei was an A-level fighter. A long run over B-class opposition is about all that can be said of him. How many of his opponents were noteworthy? Edrei never fought many of the top 175 pounders during his reign like Tarver, Woods, Johnson, Adamek, Dawson, etc. His best win was probably against Gonzalez who had only lost to Jones prior, other than that he faced a bunch of Griffin level opponents IMO.
