Sergio Martinez-Jermain Taylor
If Chavez junior abandoned his crackpot ways for the fight, then we wouldn't be talking about this topic.

Faded in the Hopkins fights, faded against Pavlik, etc. I don't see Taylor having the stamina of Martinez, so Chavez would probably start to work on him a few rounds sooner than he did on Martinez.BrutalBodyShots Wrote:Taylor either cakewalks it or gets bombed out in the 12th like Martinez almost did.torvix2000 Wrote:If Chavez junior abandoned his crackpot ways for the fight, then we wouldn't be talking about this topic.I doubt that. |

RE: Sergio Martinez-Jermain Taylor
Prime vs prime I think Taylor wins. A guy who was unbeaten in three fights with Hopkins/Wright and possessed the perfect style to beat Martinez (tall, athletic jabber with power) is just too much of a bridge for the erratic and enigmatic Argentinean to beat.
Martinez was possibly a better champion and overall fighter than Taylor (and certainly had a better prime) but this is all wrong for Sergio outside of the late Taylor fade...but Martinez is perhaps not big or strong enough to initiate that fade in the first place. Black |

Undefeated Taylor wins, post-loss Taylor loses.
