Taylor fucking WORKED Joppy. Joppy was as bad or worse than Morrade Hakkar.

My cursor slid up to Taylor by KO like this was a Ouija Board.
For real. After looking good vs Joppy (although, let's be fair, Joppy fought with shit in his brains that night) he was pugilistically raped by Hops and Winky. That's not a good resume at 160.

Man, at the end of the night Tito would have FUCKED Jermaine UP.

This looks like the David Reid fight all over again to me, except JT doesn't have one eye looking like a third nostril and gets put away for good with a few seconds remaining.

Tito would have detached him from reality.

Tito gets dropped early...gets up and sends JT to queer street with a left hook throw when Taylor throws one of his shitty left hooks.

I think he stops him.

Trinidad losing to Hopkins and Wright at 160 doesn't mean much to me with respect to a hypothetical Taylor fight because Taylor is NOTHING like Hopkins or Wright. Not that Taylor's style is all that much closer to Joppy's, but it certainly isn't like those other two.

And, the other two had iron jaws and were basically unstoppable. Taylor was stoppable and didn't have an iron jaw.

An undefeated pre-Hopkins, Taylor? Give me Taylor, he still had the confidence to beat Tito. His jab and 1-2 alone would have kept Tito at bay. Hell even after Hopkins he fought strong late in the fight when tired against Winky. Post Pavlik, Taylor? I'd take Tito in that one.

IMHO, Taylor would have kept him at bay with his jab. Taylor had problems with pressure fighters with tough chin. I would say Taylor knocks Tito down 3 times en route to a UD.

I disagree black. None of that indicates that Tito isn't a good middle, it just tells me that Hopkins and Wright are superior fighters than him.
In the past, Tito has got off pretty lightly with those losses because of the middleweight thing, but none of that had anything to do with size advantage. He never lost to Hopkins or Wright because he was too small. The fight wasn't even fought in a style where size was going to play a factor. He got exposed by both fighters because they were better than him and he couldn't land a glove on them.
Where the fight took place is irrelevant IMO. Tito was a decent to good middle, it was just a coincidence he happened to come across fighters much better than him at 160.

Good points Fitz. I think Trinidad would have done fine against a bunch of other guys at 160.
